During 2018, on H&PC we spoke a lot about safety, formula protection and preservatives; it is now time for a summary of what we said, defining together key parameters for the development of Personal Care products in line with market requests.
The article program we developed during 2018 with H&PC Teknoscienze opened with a focus on what experts define the crisis period of Personal Care preservatives, which sees a decrease of available preservative choice, due to a number of regulatory restrictions combined with constant marketing negative pressure over these ingredients.
Considering that a stable and correctly preserved formula is the basics for the development of inventive Cosmetic products, in our second article we bring back readers attentions to the adverse effects imputable to inaccurate product preservation, with the objective to restore in formulators’ mind the idea that preservative are the guardian of formula safety, rather than dangerous ingredient. In the third 2018 article, we started by considering all misleading marketing messages that daily can reach consumers, and thus, we went deep investigating end users perception and knowledge about the Persona Care filed; we concluded by drawing an interesting 3.0 end user profile. After this interesting journey in the personal care world, it has been quite easy to define key parameters for the development of the perfect cosmetic products, fitting market requests and being at the same time safe and innovative.
